Megan Douma teaches this abbreviated version of her guided autobiography classes  she regularly teaches.  Megan is currently on the board of the Seattle Storytellers' Guild. She has also taught modern dance, worked in offices, raised children, and told stories.

This approach to life-story writing will take you on a unique journey allowing you to see how the seeds of your life experiences have grown into thought-provoking stories.  By writing, and sharing some of your writing in a supportive group, participants find new meanings and insights in past experiences.

Memories become deeper when seen through the eyes of listeners, strengths become evident, and trying times have new interpretations as we learn how others weathered their past storms.

Normally an eight session workshop based on the Guided Autobiography curriculum, the Seattle Storytellers Guild offers this one-day, 6 hour workshop that includes intriguing exercises, writing tips, handouts – the tools to begin your own autobiography.

Brown bag lunch with juice, tea, and dessert provided.
